There have been a lot of posts about Rylee Bowen this season.
Since some of you may be tired of hearing about her I will devote this one to another runner.

Kate Bowen.

Last year, as a 8th grader Rylee out ran all the college runners in the open race of the 2013 Santa Clara University Bronco Invitational winning in 22:15.1 for the 6K course.

Kate has been tearing up the 2 mile courses in her middle school races as a 7th grader.
But she had no trouble showing her abilities at the 6k level. Of the 190 college and open runners in the 2104 race only five could better the 7th grader.

Kate finished 6th in 22:44.9, a 6:06 mile pace.

In the race was former Maria Carrillo star Brynna Thigpen.
Thigpen was All-Empire first team her sophomore through senior years twice finishing 2nd at the NBL finals.
Thigpen finished 15th in 23:02.4 at the Bronco meet.
