I started putting together info on the upcoming season below but then the PD wanted a story which you can see here.

First though a look at Spring Lake.
The Spring Lake course is the oldest and most used course in Sonoma County. It has been used since 1988. This year all three league finals are scheduled to be run there, NBL, SCL & CMC.
Casa coach Carl Triola has a cool little app called MapMyRun. When he uses it on his runs it tells him about how far he ran, time, pace, calories burned and shows him a map of where he ran with splits and elevation changes. I asked Carl if he would run the Spring Lake course for me to see what it would show. Official distance for the course is 3.05 miles. MapMyRun estimated it at 3.11 the day he ran. What I liked was looking at the elevation changes. It’s not perfect but still fun to look at. See below. The course will be used Wednesday for the Super Septo meet and then the 2 mile version for the Viking Opener on Saturday.
