The North Bay and Sonoma County leagues kicked off there league seasons Wednesday with some huge performances.
Two of the top North Coast Section teams, Santa Rosa & Maria Carrillo went head to head at Spring Lake State Park.
Santa Rosa’s Michael Tomasi won the boys race and lead his team to the win over Carrillo 25-31.
Carrillo’s Lauren Kraus won the girls race and her team showed why they are the number one ranked division II team in the NCS with a near perfect score of 16.
In other meets Sonoma’s Alex Conner once again broke his course record at Maxwell Farms Regional Park.
At Ukiah, the Piner teams easily downed the Wildcats but Ukiah’s Paul Holden was the first to cross the finish line.
