Piner’s Luis Luna ran possible his best race of the year to qualify for the Foot Locker National Championships in Balboa Park, San Diego on Dec. 10th.
Competing in the West Regionals, Luna placed 7th in the seeded race at Mt. Sac on Dec 3rd to become one of the Western regions 10 qualifiers for the National meet.

El Molino’s Nicole Lane ran the fastest Empire girls time placing 41st in the seeded race in 19:25.
Casa Grande’s Ashley Moffett won her division that was for just 11th graders in 19:34.
The Redwood Empire has now been represent at Nationals every year since 2007.
