Casa Grande sophomore Matt Salazar finished 2nd in his race at the Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational finishing in 15:26. The Casa team placed 3rd.
Salazar ran back about 10th thru first 800 meters as leaders came thru in 2:20. Leader at mile was 4:48.
With 800m to go Salazar had the lead before Roosevelt’s Branden Randall took the lead to finish in 15:20.

Casa girls finished second in their race as Saskia VanOmmeren-Egberts (9th 19:21) and Adriana Barich (10th 19:22) each had top 10 finishes.
