Casa’s Adam Lundquist another indoor track record

The 34th annual Simplot Games were held February 16-18 at Idaho State University’s. Casa Grande’s Adam Lundquist, who January 21st broke the Redwood Empire indoor 55 meter High Hurdle record, at Simplot has now established the 60 meter indoor record. Lundquist 60m time of 8.30 in the finals was the 7th fastest of the entries. He ran 8.42 in prelims. The 8.30 is a 15.22 pace for the full 110m distance. Steffen & Lane win at State Indoor Meet

California High School Indoor Invitational Unofficial State Indoor Championships 1/21/2012 Run For the Dream, Save Mart Center, Fresno, CA   Petaluma’s Danielle Steffen and Maria Carrillo’s Siobhan Anderson took first and second in the pole vault. Steffen tied the Redwood Empire indoor held by Ursuline’s Michelle Stone at 11 feet 6 inches. Tuck seeded #1 at State indoor meet

Petaluma’s Courtney Tuck who was 13th at the State outdoor meet last year as a freshman is seeded number one, out of 18 high jumpers who are entered, in the unoffical State Indoor Championships. Tuck qualified with a five foot six inch jump to surpass her best of 5-5 from 2010. Meet date will be Feb. 26th at Save Mart Center in Fresno. Courtney Tuck soars to State qualifing mark

Courtney Tuck of Petaluma and a number of other Empire Tracksters qualified for the unoffical State indoor meet on Feb. 12th. Tuck set a personal best in the high jump clearing 5 foot 6 inches to win the qualifier in Davis. Click here to see other Empire qualifiers.

Page and Thompson shine

1/2/2010 Diablo Valley College All-Comers Montgomery’s Alyssa Page won the 100m in 12.9 and was 3rd in 200 26.8. Page had bests as a sophomore last year of 12.35 and 25.75. Her 12.35 was a frosh/soph FAT Empire record. El Molino’s Sharon Polley had a 12.1 hand time as a soph. Maria Carrillo hurdler Jeremy Thompson won the boys 200 at 23.8 and the LJ at 21-0. Indoor PV Record?

Ursuline’s Michelle Stone who broke the Empire Pole Vault record last year at 11-10 is planning on attempting to qualify for the first Indoor State meet. Word is she has already cleared 12 feet recently. Her attempt to qualify is said to be planned for Los Gatos on Jan. 23. The Empire indoor record is 10′ 8″ by Shail Pec-Crouse of Santa Rosa in 1998 at Reno.

Inaugural California State Indoor HS Invitational

The inaugural California State Indoor High School Invitational track and field meet on February 6th will be for high school athletes competing unattached and will be held in conjunction with the Run for the Dream indoor meet at the Save-Mart Center in Fresno, CA on that weekend.
