Former Santa Rosa high running star Julia “Stamps” Mallon ran her fastest marathon time ever at the USA Olympic trials marathon race Saturday in Houston. Julia finished in 2:44:07 for a 68th place finish. Sara “Bei” Hall’s husbands Ryan Hall qualified for the Olympic team placing second in 2:09:30. Former Montgomery runner Sara Hall qualified to represent Team USA at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships on March 28 in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Hall finished in 6th in open women’s 8 km in 26:37. She held a 10:42.6 2 mile pace for the roughly 5 mile race. For more coverage click here.
