Ukiah’s Lauren Wallace broke her own school record and made All-America first-team honors at NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships yesterday. Competing for UC Davis Wallace ran 800 meters in 2:02.91 to finish 8th at famous Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Davis win Big West with Sumpter & Wallace

Ukiah’s Lauren Wallace, Cloverdale’s Sarah Sumpter and Petaluma’s Danielle Steffen all helped UC Davis win the women’s Big West track title this month. Ukiah’s Lauren Wallace broke the UC Davis school record in the 800m with a 2:04.89 clocking. The record was set just hours earlier by a teammate that broke 11 year old record by former Analy runner Rose Criss.
