I have noticed at least five Redwood Empire athletes competing in the 2013 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
From Montgomery High School we have Kim Conley competing in the 5,000 meter run, of which she made the Olympic team last year, and Sara “Bei” Hall will be in the 3,000m Steeplechase.

Healdsburg High’s Sarah Sumpter is entered in the 10,000m.
Ukiah High’s Lauren Wallace in the 800m.
Maria Carrillo’s Jake Arnold in the Decathalon.
Of interest, Mary Cain, NY high school sensation is entered in the 5000m and 1500m races.
The 2013 Championships will serve as the selection event for the coveted spots to represent Team USA at the IAAF World Championships August 10 – August 18 in Moscow, Russia.
