With former Healdsburg High runner Sarah Sumpter leading her team with a second place finish UC Davis won there first ever Big West Conference crown.

Sumpter a junior at Davis finished the 6,000 meter course in 20:33.7 just behind Long Beach Senior Rosa Del Toro in 20:27. In third place was former Maria Carrillo runner Leanne Fogg of Cal Poly who clocked 20:41.9.

Also part of the Davis team are former Ukiah runner Lauren Wallace and assistant coach Kim Conley who was from Montgomery High.
