The 2013 USA Cross Country Championships will be held in St Louis, MO on Saturday February 2nd.
The defending champion is former Montgomery high runner Sara “Bei” Hall.

Besides Hall this years field will include Sara’s former Viking teammate Kim Conley who was a 2012 Olympian at 5,000 meters. The women who took second to Conley’s third at the US Olympic trials was the same Molly Huddle.
The other two top ranked runners in the field are Deena Kastor the 2004 Olympic bronze medalist at marathon and a three-time Olympian, the U.S. record holder in marathon and an eight-time national cross country champion.
And Shalane Flanagan the 2008 Olympic bronze medalist at 10,000 meters, a three-time Olympian and a five-time national cross country champion.

The women’s Open race will be on an 8,000m course.
The top six finishers in the men’s and women’s open events and the top six in the junior races will represent the U.S. at the world championships next month in Poland.
