Sarah Baxter from Simi Valley ran what some are calling “Greatest High School Performance Ever.”
Baxter covered the the three-hill, 2.94-mile course in 16:00. The illustrious 65-year history of the meet includes the one time meet record of 16:55 by Santa Rosa’s Julia Stamps. The record before this year was 16:18 by another North Bay League runner, Ukiah’s Amber Trotter from 2001.
This years top NBL marks included Santa Rosa freshman Delaney White running 18:16. Former Panther and Division I State Champion Trina Cox ran 18:39 as a freshman. Casa Grande freshman Matt Salazar ran 15:57 to lead the boys.
