Piner boys cross country has just been ranked second in the state in division IV behind Fillmore.
The best any boys team from the Empire has ever placed at the State meet is 2nd by the 2007 Petaluma team in Division II.
Stanford meet is Saturday the 29th which will have a big affect on rankings.
