Both former Montgomery Viking runners qualified from there preliminary races today to the finals.
Sara “Bei” Hall placed 2nd in her heat of the 3000 Steeplechase in 9:44.55. Finals are June 29th.
Kim Conley placed 3rd in her heat of the 5000 in 15:47.39. Finals are June 28th.
Maria Carrillo’s Jake Arnold finished 16th in the Decathlon.
It may be that only two US Decathletes have made the Olympic qualifing mark which means Jake or any other Amarican who can score over 8200 points between now and the Olympics could be added to the team.
