Former Piner stars Dezirae and Kyra Johnson are still leading the way just now on the college level for Fresno State.
Dezirae won the 400 in a PR of 54.37 at the Mountain West Conference Championship this week held at University of Wyoming.
Kyra ran a new Empire record in the 400 hurdles with a time of 58.61 for second place. The winning time was 58.31.
In the 4 X 400 relay Dezirae ran lead-off and Kyra anchored with the time of 3:38.45 for another win, just missing the school record of 3:37.63.
