Story
Kim Conley ran away from a field full of Olympians at the Indoor New Balance Games in New York.
Conley followed the rabbit thru first 880 yards in 2:10 before taking the lead and extending the gap between the others winning by almost 5 seconds in a new Redwood Empire record of 4:24.54.
Last week Conley ran an indoor 800 in 2:05.92.
Her old mile PR was 4:27.23 from 8/17/12.
It not only broke The Armory’s record but moved her to the number 4 all-time American indoors.
The US men’s 4th all-time miler is 3:51.34.
Conley passed by the 1500m spot at 4:05.70, also an Empire record.
